Nature, technology & innovation
Technology and innovation in harmony with nature
Nature is part of how GLab approaches its work. When choosing how to solve a problem, we consider the people and places affected, the resources a solution needs and how it can be maintained over time.
Where practical, we favour repair and reuse, avoid unnecessary waste, and design for maintenance. We make environmental claims about a particular product only when we have evidence to support them.
How we work
Understand the need. Build. Test. Improve.
- Understand the problem. Find out who will use the solution, where it will operate and what is getting in the way.
- Choose the right approach. A technical solution is not always necessary; use the simplest option that meets the need.
- Build for real use. Keep security, reliability, cost and future maintenance in view.
- Test the result. Check it in a relevant environment and record what works, what does not and what remains uncertain.
- Keep improving. Maintain, repair or reuse where sensible, and retire tools that are no longer suitable.
Products and technical services
Practical software and engineering systems
GLab builds software for network operations and broadband workflows, tools for network monitoring and mapping, web applications, automation, and security-aware system diagnostics.
Each project page states whether the work is released, in development, archived or retired. Service engagements are agreed separately with a defined scope.
Featured enterprise product
GLabNetOps
GLabNetOps is GLab’s network-operations and broadband-management product. Its work covers ISP workflows, network visibility, infrastructure planning, monitoring and staff administration. The public page describes the product and its development status; it is a product overview, not a public live-service login. The source repository is private and is not publicly accessible.
