This website is a digital songbook library. It is not a claim of ownership over the songs it presents.
Software and interface
The code, interface, build tools, and documentation are available under the Apache License in LICENSE. This makes the software available for inspection, study, research, local evaluation, and reuse; it does not license the song content.
Private downloads and copies
Visitors may download or make private copies for personal study, worship, research, or local evaluation of this application. That does not grant permission to publicly share, republish, sell, or distribute the copied lyrics or a full songbook collection.
Song content and data
Lyrics, titles, arrangements, translations, cover art, editorial transcriptions, and songbook data remain the property of their respective authors, compilers, publishers, churches, organizations, and other rights holders. Public republication, sale, distribution, or operation of another service using the song content requires permission from the applicable rights holder unless the relevant item is clearly public domain or separately licensed.
Accuracy and editorial integrity
Do not edit, translate, rearrange, or republish lyrics or metadata as an official or accurate edition without the appropriate rights-holder permission and editorial review. Do not remove sources, rights notes, or verification details, or present altered or unreviewed data as approved by Rongmei Hymnal or a book editor.
Name, branding, and forks
Do not use the Rongmei Hymnal name, logo, covers, project identity, or an implication of affiliation or endorsement in another public app, website, repository, or service. The MIT code license still allows independently branded code-only forks; it does not allow reuse of song content or misleading use of this project’s identity.
Corrections and new books
Report suspected content errors through the project’s feedback channel. New songbook files should record their editorial status and only be published after a rights and accuracy review.
